We started this site to keep you informed about the Millennium Hollywood project and its goals.  All project information should be available on this site.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

The other goal of this blog is to create an online hub for Hollywood history, culture, and local businesses—basically all things interesting in the Hollywood community (minus the celebrity culture; we think you can find that elsewhere). We want to show off our treasures and let everyone know what we think makes Hollywood such a unique, historic, and vibrant place to live, work, and enjoy.

Of course, Hollywood isn’t perfect, or finished.  And just like we favor mixed-use development as a way to build community and create shared public space in our densely populated city, we believe that providing you with information about a wide variety of local topics will help to create a thriving online Hollywood community.

So you may see a blog post on the founding of Hollywood alongside an interview with one of Runyon Canyon Park’s free yoga instructors, followed the next day by a video portrait of a local business using innovative, environmentally sustainable practices.  We are looking to improve our quality of life and create new ways to live in our urban environment, and we know many others in the Hollywood community feel the same way.

We’ll deliver new posts most weekdays, with fresh video content a couple times a week.  You may hear from guest bloggers who’ll provide project updates and other Millennium Hollywood background information.  We want to include as much information as possible, out of respect to those who may have questions and concerns.  For the most part, though, you’ll be hearing from me—your Hollywood Blogger.  I’ll do my best to entertain and inform you on everything interesting in Hollywood.  See you in the comments!
